Jacksonville

Jacksonville makes a great destination for a family holiday in Florida with a wealth of entertainment establishments for everyone to enjoy.  First there is Jacksonville Zoo and gardens. The award winning Zoo in the North East of Florida 117 acres in size has a selection of over 2000 animals for the kids to encounter.

Jacksonville also has some decent amusement parks for the kids to enjoy. This includes Adventure Landing Shipwreck Park, which includes a Mini- Golf Course, a Go Karting Track and one of Florida’s best Waterparks.

Adults will enjoy the Riverside Arts market with great food options and entertainment for all the family. Close by in Saint Augustine the family can enjoy St. Augustines Alligator Park aswell as the historic centre with its interesting fountains.

 

Melbourne

Located along the Atlantic coast of Florida is the town of Melbourne. On the Indian River lagoon visitors can enjoy nice unspoilt beaches, fishing and snorkelling.

At Brevad zoo families can get up close to the animals and kayak past them for a little adventure. Both adults and children alike can also head to the Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex where they can enjoy simulated shuttle launches, engage with real astronauts and look at the machines that were once sent to space!

 

Ana Maria Island

Anna Maria Island is known for its large sweeping beaches and fantastic year round climate. Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach is a busy beach town in Florida with a wide range activities for all the family. The town boasts a Marine Aquarium and fantastic museums such as the Dali museum for adults and the Great Exploration Childrens museum to keep both sides happy.

Clearwater beach is not short of fantastic beaches and is the proud home to Caladesi island which was recognised as the United States Best Beach back in 2008.  Clearwater beach has some fantastic resorts to be enjoyed in a luxurious setting with shallow waters that the kids can enjoy.

 

Disney World

There is not much more we need to say about Disney World that you don’t already know. This magical Kingdom set in Orlando is where dreams come true for many children each year! With fantastic entertainment, exciting rollercoasters and a magical atmosphere it is perhaps the ultimate family holiday destination. It may seem like it’s just about the kids, but we all know that deep down you will be just as excited to visit!
