When you are planning for a trip to any country, you need to understand that there are certain things that you need to think about traveling with your family is very different compared to traveling on your own and so you need to keep this in mind. Just like with every other country, the Philippines has a few places that you need to avoid and a few things that you should know about. Though the Philippines is certainly not a dangerous or scary place, it is crucial to keep these things in mind.

It will never hurt to take some time to learn the most common language spoken in any country. The internet is now full of tutorials and free information about basic words that you can say and Tagalog is no exception. Tagalog is actually a fairly simple language to learn and it is fun to learn. Learn the basics and you will certainly be much safer in the Philippines. However, Filipinos are known to know English very well and you can always find some people to talk to.

Just like with any other vacation, it is important to make a plan for the day. Remember that any trip can be a failure if you just fail to prepare. Most trips are wasted because they didn’t spend any time trying to figure out where to go and when to get there. These are things that need to be figured out before you even get on the plane. When I visited the Philippines, I made this big mistake and spent most of my time just looking for taxis and was not able to fully enjoy my trip.

Traveling as a Family Through the Philippines – Always Leave Early

If you have a meeting in the Philippines, then you need to certainly make some room for traffic. The traffic in the Philippines is quite bad and this is something that a lot of locals complain about. However, if you are able to leave at the right times, then you can always avoid the really bad hours. Early morning and during lunch are the best times to go out but the traffic is sadly very unpredictable.

Traveling as a Family Through the Philippines – Make Friends

The Filipinos are very accommodating and you should not be scared to make friends. Being able to have a few friends in the Philippines is a great way to make sure that you will be safe and your family is in good hands. If you have a few friends in the Philippines, then they can always help you out with finding places and communicating with the other locals in the Philippines.

Overall, traveling through the Philippines with your family is an adventure that you can’t pass up on. I would love to take my family to the Philippines again and I just need to save up for our next trip. If you are looking for a great place for your family to visit, then you should not overlook just how nice the Philippines can be.
