How To AVOID The Holiday Lines At The Post Office

I went to drop off my Christmas Cards at the Post Office yesterday and the lines were ALL the was to the door. I felt like I was shopping at Black Friday. SO here are my secrets for NOT having to stand in those LONG lines at the post office.

TIP 1:

IF YOU HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT: Print a shipping label for your packages through multi-shipping selection. You can choose all the shipping options you could at the post office and get a tracking code. BEST PART? Have your packages picked up by the post office OR drop them off in those big blue postal bins. Sometimes prices are a tad cheaper. DONE!! NO LINES. *If your package is too big and you can’t fit it in the BIG blue postal bins at the post office, ya walk up to the counter and say I just want to give you this package , it already has postage on it. THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!

TIP 2:

Those postal machines you see at the post office, you can buy stamps AND ship your packages using the labels there. You can use your debit or credit card to pay. Your label or stamps are dispensed right there and TADA you are done, Stick the label or stamps on your packages and drop in the postal box. DONE and NO LINES!!

TIP 3:

I print labels at home BUT it is hard to get out with 3 kids. Sometime my packages are not that big (using bubble mailers and similar packaging for books/clothes/etc). I go through the drive through postal drop off (you can find the closest one to you by going to usps.com) then I step out of car and reach around the the handle in the BACK of the blue postal drop bins AND MY packages fit.  This way my kids stay in car, NO LINES, and it is convenient.

TIP 4:

Did you know you can purchase stamps from local grocery stores, UPS, stores that doing shipping or notary, and many other way convenient stores. WAY easier and NO LONG lines like at the post office.

Good luck, be safe, and have a wonderful holiday season.
