Gift Idea: ZERO Family Board Game

There is still a few days left of holiday shopping before Christmas. Still needs some ideas? How about this FUN Family game called ZERO.

I was so excited to have the chance to try it. I have noticed limited quantities at the big retail stores I have been to the past few days.

About ZERO:

“Aim Low, Score High”. Zero is a family game great for 2-6 players. This is the first exciting board game where you are looking for 0 to be the winning number.

Basically, You need to know a little about a lot of things to win. ZERO was created by asking more than 450 people to answer the same questions that are used in the game. The points that are giving in the game are based on the percentage point that were tallied by their answers. Making this fun and totally unpredictable.

*Cards list all the correct answers to each question and points are awarded to players based on the popularity of the answer. So for example if the card asks the color of a solid call in the game of pool/billiards and you answered RED or YELLOW, you would have 90 point and the person who answered Magenta would have 10 points. OR a question like name “A Dum Dum Lollipop Flavor based on a beverage (current or retired flavors). Root Beer 80 points and if you say Pink Lemonade you get 10 points. Getting the answer with the least amount of points is what you are looking for.  There are several answers with a variety of points.

How to play:

  1. Youngest player readers the card from the deck without looking at the back.
  2. The player to the left of the card reader goes by making their first guess at the answer. Then continue to to go around the circle in clockwise.
  3. Once each person has announced their answers, the person reading the card flips it over and reads the points for each person’s answer.
  4. After hearing how many points each person received for their answer, they move 1 space for every ten points they received. For example if they got 80 points they would move 8 spaces.
  5. Anyone who gives an answer NOT on the card has to move 10 spaces ahead.
  6. There can be more than one player on each board space.
  7. THEN the person to the left of the card reader does the same thing (reads the card and then reads the points after everyone has answered).
  8. Z Space. After a player reaches the end of the path and moves to the Z Space they can only continue if they answer the lowest answer on the next question card. This will give them the chance to go back 10 spaces (almost like a second chance).

There are Tokens and bonus spaces to add to this fun. The WINNER is the person who remains on the game track while all the other players are on the Z Space.

Comes with:

  • 270 Question Cards
  • Game Board
  • 6 Moving Pieces
  • 18 Tokens
  • Instructions

*It is a fun and exciting game that makes you think before you give the first answer that comes to your head. It is hilarious to hear other people’s answers and see how fast people move around the board. It is a game that is perfect to play with family, friends, as an ice breaker, and for those who love new games with a unique twist. ZERO makes a great gift and is a great idea for those who are like my family and try to find the perfect family games to play on Christmas Eve and Christmas as families gather for memorable moments.
