I am SO very guilty of low self-esteem.
As a matter of there are many people in the world who have felt like they were too skinny, too ugly, too tall, too geeky, not athletic, too big, or too short. It seems like these are thoughts and feelings MANY teenagers feel as well. Having a teenager myself, I do recognize her saying she feels many of these characteristics. I don’t agree with her at all, but I do understand how it feels to feel that way about yourself although others may not see you that way.
Hey U.G.L.Y has created a forum for those who would like to share their concerns and challenges. It is a safe place to learn from one another and help get opinions from others who feel the same as you do.Hey U.G.L.Y was chosen because it is one of the most negative words youth uses to inflict pain on others. The thought behind Hey U.G.L.Y is to give teens the empowerment of their own self-esteem and discover ways to become a solution to bullying.
Hey U.G.L.Y developed a CD called Laughtercising “Laugh It Off” to help bring out the laughter and natural great feeling that we already possess.
Laugh It Off Hey U.G.L.Y Vol.1 is a 60 minute CD that introduces Laughtercising. It is recommended to get a stop watch or clock and then go in a quiet room and listen to the CD. When the laughing starts you are encouraged to start laughing and see how long you can laugh along.
