If you say ZHuZhu pets in my neighborhood or with my kid’s friends you get the same very excited reaction. With that said, you can only imagine the excitement when I told a group of my daughter’s friends that we were going to have a ZhuZhu Pets Quest For Zhu premiere screening. I explained to them how lucky they were to have the chance to see a NEW movie before it was sold in stores. Talk about feeling special. I overheard one girl say “WOW you mean I am the first person to see this”. It was so cute. I did let her know that there are other kids that were lucky to see it as well. SO what is it about and what did this great group of kids think?
About Quest for Zhu Movie:
The “Quest for Zhu” brings the magical Zhu-niverse to life in 3-D stereoscopic animation. Starring the four original ZhuZhu Pets® characters (Pipsqueak, Mr. Squiggles, NumNums and Chunk), the “Quest for Zhu”.
In this feature-length animated film, ZhuZhu Pets very own Pipsqueak gets swept away to the other side of the Zhu-niverse where she meets her new friends Num Nums, Mr. Squiggles, and Chunk. These fun new friends will go on an adventurous journey together to the Palace of Zhu. They have to overcome the controlling and not friendly Mezhula who tries to stand in their way of making their dreams come true. To get the kids ready for the Quest For Zhu party, we enjoyed a fun game of ABC Dance. Although I didn’t have time to prepare all the yummy Quest For Zhu munchies from the recipe idea sheets, I was able to make copies of them for the parents. Kids were able to snack on on their favorite finger foods and fruit. After playing, releasing some energy, and snacking, it was movie premiere time. All the kids gathered around and found their seats as they got ready for the exciting adventure they were going to embark upon with the ZhuZhu pals. Each kid’s eyes were glued to the screen and very engaged as they snacked on their Twizzer snack bites. The consensus was that it was a great movie and they all wanted a copy of it. The miniature ZhuZhu pals were the perfect way to top off this party and keep the excitement going.
Here are a few of their responses to questions I asked:
Who was your favorite character? Majority liked Pipsqueak. Although it was tough, especially since they chose which character they were while the movie was playing.
Would you recommend it to a friend? YES!
What was your favorite part? This was tough, they had so many. When the ZhuZhu Pets traveled in the tunnel, when they saw all the other animals in the forest that looked like ZhuZhus (the zebras were cute), and when the ZhuZhu Pets were at the Palace of Zhu.
My kids continue to enjoy watching The Quest For Zhu. It was such a treat to share this fun experience with my kids and my daughter’s friends. It is a really cute movie with a special message. The graphics are great, the story line is wonderful, and the characters are lovable. My 2 year old (almost 3) loves watching it as well. The cute part is how each time he watches the movie he gets the urge to grab his ZhuZhu (he calls whowho) and hold it while watching.
