Having a teenager, I found out quickly how different they act and think compared to when they were
in elementary school. So when I found the Chicken Soup For The Soul had a NEW Just for Teenager book, I couldn’t wait to see it.

Chicken Soup For The Soul for Teenagers is a book filled with 101 stories of inspiration and support for teens. I wanted to read through the book before my teenage daughter did. I was curious if it might be a great book to shed some light on my daughter, that she isn’t the only teenager in the world with issues, fears, frustrations, hopes, and dreams.
As I read, I found myself reliving similar feelings and situations I experienced when I was a teenager. Each story offers teens possible feelings, struggles, situations (such as peer pressure), and much more. Each person shares their story of their teenage experience, a choice/s they made, how it effected them, and the lessons they learned.
Chicken Soup For The Soul, Just For Teens tackles all the issues that teenagers come in contact with such as dating, peer pressure, friendships, betrayal, setting goals, doing what’s right, how to be strong & not let others hurt/use you (like the story of “Until She’s Gone”), believing, family issues, embracing life, academics, and feeling good about yourself.
This is a great book. It did remind/scare me to think these are all the issues my daughter is going to be in contact with this year. I feel we have established a great foundation and hope that with this book, she is able to find herself, stay true to her heart and values, and realize she isn’t the only one with these experiences and feelings.

I think everyone should try to remember what it was like when they were teenagers and try to relax when dealing with their kids.
