My family has definitely felt our first heat wave summer decided to throw at us while at home, at the beach, and while on our family vacation.
It is important to my family, that we use products from companies we trust AND products we know will not irritate our sensitive skin. That is why Neutrogena and Aveeno sunblock sprays assisted me in protecting my kid’s (and my hubby and I) delicate skin while we were in the sun at the hottest times of the day.

Neutogena Wet Skin Sunblock Spray with Helioplex offers SPF 50, provides full strength protection on wet or dry skin. It is sweatproof and waterproof, allowing for even more convenience and protection. It is oil free, PABA-free, and provides a continuous spray in a 5 oz bottle with lock top. Retail: $10.00
Wet Skin Kids Sunblock Spray SPF 70+ with Helioplex offers kids beach and pool protection. It can be applied to wet or dry skin. It is hypoallergenic and waterproof, allowing you to provide your children with protection without having to dry them off before applying or reapplying sunblock.
Aveeno Active Naturals Hydrosport Sunblock Spray SPF 85 provides a superior protection from the harmful UV rays of the sun with it’s unique water-repelling ability of the Natural Lotus Complex, a special blend with naturally-derived ingredients. It is dermatologist tested, lightweight, non-greasy, sweatproof, waterporoof, and it provides a breathable shield which clings to even wet skin. Aveeno Active Naturals comes in a 5 oz continuous spray container with locking top. Retail: $10.79

Here are a few places we used Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblocks.

My oldest using Aveeno Hydrosport before going on bike ride at the beach.

Worked great for protecting my kids while swimming in the Russian River.

Works great while in the yard playing.
Kids use sunblock before they ride on their bikes.
My thoughts:
Each product worked exactly how I hoped. Hayli and my hubby have more fair skin, so they liked to use Aveeno Active Naturals Hydroport SPF 85. My small kids have sensitive skin and need a formula made for them, like Neutrogena Kids Wet Skin SPF 70 to keep their active little bodies protected from the sun.
My favorite features :
- Full strength coverage
- Spray container with locking lid
- Can be applied when wet. This is great because I like to re-apply sunscreen throughout the hot day to my family’s skin to ensure their skin is protected and doesn’t get burned. Saves time, which is great since we know how much kids like to dry off and get another dose of sunscreen then dry the sunscreen before getting back in the water (sarcastic).
- Continuous spray, no rubbing in needed.
- Dermatologist tested.
- Aroma. It light and not over powering like some sunblocks.
- Dries/absorbs fast.
- Gives a full and even spray coverage. Doesn’t leave my skin blotchy.
- Convenient
Overall a positive and protective experience for my whole family. I would recommend Neutrogena Wet Skin and Aveeno Hydrosport Sunblocks to others who are looking for a product they can rely on and products that are convenient during hot summer sun conditions.
Both Neutrogena & Aveeno skin care products can be found at local retailers in the sunscreen/skin care product aisle.
