My WordPress Experience:
Excited, happy, nervous, scared, anticipation, and fear are all emotions that surged through me as I contemplated transferring my blog that I established over a year ago through Blogger. Over the past year I have become very familiar with Blogger settings, codes, posting, etc. I have also in the past year accumulated over 121,000 blog comments and written over 1541 published blog posts. The best part was how easy Blogger was to work and it was FREE.
Throughout this past year I have also watched as other blogs with a large following and content, were shocked to one day find their blog was gone. So I have to admit this was something that scared me and was constantly fresh in my mind, because there was no guarantee that my free hosting site was going to be there each day. We all know that once you hit delete there is not always an undo button (I wish there was). Yes you are right, just because a few blogs lose their site for unknown reasons, doesn’t mean we would. This was just something that I saw happen and worried me. This along with broken links in my posts, lack of hosting support, spam (which can hurt your SEO & PR), getting locked out of my site while Blogger was down 24 hours, and scheduled posts not going live on time are just a few things that constantly taunted me.
Finally the last post didn’t go live (which is something I count on so I can enjoy time with my kids). I thought this is a sign it is time to move. NOW that I felt 100% ready to move, I had to find someone I could trust with my blog to move me AND who I could afford. I have seen blog transfer prices out there and let’s just say there were not helping me make the transfer decision. I don’t know about you but finding FABULOUS, TRUSTWORTHY, and AFFORDABLE didn’t seem like they were all going to fit in the same sentence when it comes to blog transfers. THEN I found Blogelina.
What Stopped Me From Moving to WordPress Previously:
A big issue for me AND it seems like a big issue for many others PRICE. Something you will see in many forums and on websites is the comment “I want to move to WP, but I can’t afford it right now”. Here is what my comment was always “I want to move to WP so bad, but I just hate to pay a monthly fee”. Blogger is free and WP does cost money and so does the transfer. So I justified this by finding a VERY affordable transfer company (Blogelina $85 Total Transfer Package). I knew with a high preforming website like WordPress, there are many more opportunities to make money. This ultimately means my blog will end up paying for itself and the yearly fee I have to pay, won’t be something that will hurt me financially or be an amount I have to struggle to come up with. So I look at the low Blogelina transfer price as an amount to come up with once and my site will make it back, along with the money needed to renew hosting the following year.
What is the BEST WAY to transfer your blog with the most options and most affordable fee?

Sound too good to be true?
I know. I thought the same thing. This is a very hard deal to pass up.
You may have noticed that it took my site a week to move. My blog was large and moving that amount of content was tough. From the very first day Tanya from Blogelina answered my MILLIONS of questions and didn’t hesitate to tell me exactly how it was and what to expect. She basically let me know my site is large and I would need to downsize to effectively move my content over. This is fine, because I kinda expected to lose some comments. She did recommend that if you are thinking about moving to WP, that you do before your blog gets too big in content, so that you lose the least amount of comments as possible.
Here is what my blog looked like before and after my move
WOW! I am EXTREMELY impressed with the time, dedication, process, and and results I received with Blogelina and her blog transfer package.
My favorite things about this experience:
- My blog looks almost exactly what it looked like in blogger
- Blogelina fully informed me on what to expect as well as held my hand through this overwhelming (overwhelming because I had no idea what to expect) experience
- ALL of my posts transferred over
- My site url was redirected to blogspot so I could still post while my site was transferring and then she fixed all my urls after the move.
- My GFC, RSS, and other widgets were all moved over
- Constant updates on my site’s progress
- Blogelina did EVERYTHING. My site was ready to start posting on right after she was finished.
This was an extremely a positive experience for me with Blogelina and her team.
My ONLY negatives and frustrations through the transfer were with Blogger. Trying to find who owned my .com url, how to get it released through them, and then trying to get my blog content released for transfer. These were all issues that blogger held up and had NOTHING to do with Blogelina.
If you are looking for a wonderful WordPress Transfer company with a VERY affordable price, I highly recommend Blogelina.
Her and her team know what they are doing and it was obvious through my whole transfer process.
