My kids thought this was such a great story. Yaya liked that the boy has the same name as one of her cousins, he liked to eat pancakes just like her, she knew that 2-2 just like Blake, and she liked that she doesn’t have the cavity monster in her mouth since her daddy (dentist) makes her brush twice a day. My little man liked having a story read to him where he could ask about everything on each page.
I like that this story briefly touches on other important topics that allow us to talk to our kids about as well such as making good choices, helping others, being your own hero, and not to worries about what happened yesterday. Super Blake and the Cavity Monster also touches on two things that kids might not usually hear, plaque and gingivitis.
I really like this book and am excited to share it with all the kids at my husband’s dental office
(if Yaya will let me take).
