Sponsored Post Buttons

Bloggers are aware that they must all comply with FTC guidelines, which states that you must disclose in your blog post if you received compensation for your post or a product in exchange for your review.
From the Federal Trade Commission site:
“the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service”. “And a paid endorsement – like any other advertisement – is deceptive if it makes false or misleading claims”.*
If you are aware of this, that is great. This means you are posting a disclosure statement in all your blog posts that call for a disclosure. These blog posts include review posts, giveaway posts, and sponsored posts (paid posts).
What you might not be aware of is that paid posts are frowned upon from Google. Now don’t quote me, but from what I have read and found through personal experiences, is that google does not like it when companies pay bloggers/companies to do advertising posts.
I recently had a company (well known) ask me to take down a post they had me publish for them (YES this was a paid post). They said “Sadly my website has just been hit with a Google penalty and my best guess is that it was due to the big number of sponsored posts”. “I’m truly sorry to be a bother but at the moment the penalty has killed our business”. I have also had a few other companies say PLEASE CAN YOU reword that you were paid for this advertising post.
SO how in the world do bloggers and companies comply with FTC guideline without being
penalized?
Sponsored Post buttons.
Sponsored post buttons boldly disclose to your readers that your
post/publication are sponsored (aka paid for). The sponsored post buttons ALSO help
companies and bloggers to not be penalized by google.
This includes penalties and PR Rank.
Sponsored Post Buttons disclose that your post was sponsored/paid, without you typing in your post SPONSORED POST. You might have seen a few sponsored buttons or have worked with companies that provide their own buttons. If not and you decide you would like one, copy and paste the ones I have below. :)
I have made a few that you may use. I will try to add more freebies as I get the chance.

If you have an idea for another one you would like to see, please feel free to comment below and I will try to add.

These are great. I normally disclose in writing at the bottom of the post but this would be great to keep the post looking pretty instead.

I always thought a disclosure in every post was ugly. Since I'm in Canada and it isn't required here yet I just went with a site wide disclosure, but will start doing this! Just made a couple of buttons that will match my blog for it :)

    Thanks for the idea!
