It doesn’t matter if you just found out you are pregnant, just adopted a child, or just had a baby. You are something more than special, you are a new mom. What better way to welcome someone special into the new world of being a mommy than to read the joys, love, journeys (good and tough), excitement, and experiences shared in this wonderful book.
My Thoughts:
What a special book that takes me back to many of the experiences that I felt as a new mom. Even after having my second daughter, I still felt like a new mom again (since I waited several years to have another one). I enjoyed each unique and special story story. The one that I totally remember sharing the same feeling thoughts was called “Getting on the Right Side of Sleep. It was funny how similar my experience was and the little baby’s name was Alyssa too. I always thought I was the only one who prayed for my baby to sleep so that I could be rested and in top form in the morning. There are stories like The Master Plan that gave me goose bumps and tears at the same time.
I like the way each brief story is written. You can feel their happiness, excitement, joys, passion, and love. After I finished reading, I put the book down with an even stronger sense of how lucky I am to of had the experiences that I have. How lucky I am and how priceless the gift of motherhood is.
Chicken Soup for the Soul New Moms is a great book that I would definitely recommend to others especially for a great baby shower gift.
