What is the name of your blog and why did you choose your name?
Mammamoiselle
It’s funny and perhaps silly but it kind of stems from that whole Miss vs. Ma’am thing that most of women dread! I started getting a lot more Ma’am’s once I had a baby in tow and didn’t like it!! More than that, however, the term really came out of me finding a way to be me while being mamma. It can be easy to lose oneself in motherhood, and I have been working hard to maintain a sense of the woman I was before, while learning, growing and being the best mamma I can be to my little guy!
How long have you been blogging?
Since October 2009 but since October 2010 on the current domain/format
Tell me about your blog.
Mammamoiselle has been about finding my way through Mammahood. I found myself thrust into a stay at home status after losing my job on maternity leave and was wondering who I was! I found that the way to be the best mamma was to be me and this blog hopes to capture that, along with the ups, the downs – sprinkled with reviews and giveaways from products that I can truly stand behind and/or personally use! I’m learning a lot on my journey and my goal is to share it all on my blog!

Is there anything else you would like us to know about your blog?
While I LOVE doing reviews/giveaways for my readers, I also want to grow and work at becoming a voice with great content on parenting and my experiences.
What do you like the best about blogging?
I love connecting with other people – particularly other women who share so much in common. It’s my therapy to blog! I know that when I’m sharing something about myself, my family or my experiences, my readers get it and understand. It’s incredibly fun and amazing to meet so many supportive women, some of them halfway across the country!
I also love featuring products and giveaways that can be useful to other mammas and parents out there!
What advice would you give to new or other bloggers?
I’m still learning myself. As a former teacher, I believe we never stop learning! My advice to anyone just starting out is to find other blogs and bloggers that you admire. Spend time seeing how they find their voice and use it to inspire you to find your own personal voice, format and direction for your own blog.
Blogging Goals
My goals are to continue to grow my readership and connect with more and more amazing women and parents. I want to continue to work with companies that can enhance the lives of mothers, parents, children and families!
