What is the name of your blog and why did you choose your name?
a Latte’ with Ott, A
Because I love talking over a cup of coffee. Wether its sharing a recipe with a friend over my morning cup, or sharing the latest gardening or decorating tip over an afternoon pick me up latte’ my blog is a place to share and encourage others.
How long have you been blogging?
About a year
Tell me about your blog.
I like to bake, garden, decorate, scrapbook, collect longaberger baskets, travel and tell stories about my husband as we adapt to newlywed life. I also enjoy canning what we raise in our garden and was surprised by how many bloggers were skeptical or intimidated by canning. Last August I co-hosted a canning week blog party and daily posted tips, recipes and how to guides on canning. We also had linky parties and give-a-ways and tried to make it a lot of fun. It was sooo much fun that we are already planning Canning Week 2011.

Is there anything else you would like us to know about your blog?
I have just recently started a new monthly linky party on by blog called Ott, A’s “Iron Chef Challenge.” Just like the TV show there is a themed ingredient, guest judge and a prize for the winning recipe. My hope is that foodie bloggers will try some new foods that they wouldn’t have normally tried and expand their dinner menu options.
What do you like the best about blogging?
I like the relationships I have been able to develop with other bloggers. I feel now like I have friends out there who give lots of encourage and tips to me on a daily basis.
What advice would you give to new or other bloggers?
Blog for yourself, not others. Be consistent and be a good follower.

To stay true to my blogs overall theme and message and keep it as a useful tool for others to stop by and pick up a new recipe or idea.
