I had so much fun meeting new people and learning about great blogs in the blog world when I was doing Friday Features, so I thought I would start them up again.
If you are interested in having your website featured, please
To start off my Friday Features I thought I would let you know a little more about me and my blog.
~My name is Cindi
~I named my blog Little Yayas. A few years ago when I started making baby blankets I was trying to think of a name for my blankets. I thought since I first started making baby blankets for my youngest daughter and she was the reason I stopped working, I would use her nick name “Yaya”. She could not pronounce Alyssa. She called herself Yaya, so it stuck. Then when I went to make a blog, I was making it to go with my blanket website “Little Yaya’s Boutique“. SO the name stuck “Little Yayas”.
~I have been blogging for almost 1 year now.
~I started my blog to display new blanket styles and designs. I ended up taking it to another level by doing reviews of products my family and I enjoy. I knew what I wanted and expected when people/companies reviewed my blankets, so I thought that would help me give to companies what I expect.
~The thing I like best about blogging is meeting new people, making friends, and finding great products and gift idea for my family and friends. I am one of those people who try things and then end up going out and buying them. So reviewing has cost me a lot of money, but VERY WORTH IT and fun.
~The only other thing I would like people to know about my blog is that I ONLY review and request items my family and I will like. You might not find any negative reviews on my site, as I won’t accept any products that I don’t feel would be a great fit.
~You can find me on twitter @1blessedmommi and in several social media networks.
~My Goals are to grow bigger, be more involved, and continue to find great new products that make family’s lives easier.
~ADVICE I have for new bloggers
*BE VERY ACTIVE in blogging groups.
*Participate in events and blog hops. You will meet a lot of new bloggers who you will learn from. Events are great ways to gain exposure and followers.
*Invest in your site. Get a .com url and make sure you have your blog backed up. Buy a design for your site. This shows you are invested in your site to companies.
*Most companies are MORE interested in your UNIQUE monthly traffic. Bigger companies love to see your unique monthly traffic to be over 10,000 unique visitors and will ask you for a screenshot. There are several sites you can look to find your traffic. I recommend find where your traffic is coming from and work on it. For example if it comes from twitter, then build twitter followers and tweet more.
