There has been a Creativity For Kids kit that Hayli (my oldest) has wanted for a long time. So when the I had the opportunity to try it, I jumped and my girls did too.

Hayli had a friend over and decided they wanted to do something fun, so they pulled out our new Do Art Pottery Studio Kit and worked on making pots until late. We finally had to ask them to give Alyssa a turn and then turn it off because it was getting so late.
The girls had the best time. The kit came with everything they needed to make a vase, clay figurine, pinch pot, or sculpted pot. There was a plastic sheet to cover my table (thank goodness), an artist apron (my girls let Hayli’s friend wear it since she was the guest), a pottery wheel with power pedal, tools to help design, and paint to paint their master pieces when the clay dries.
I took ceramics in high school, so it was so much fun for me to do this with my girls. They had to tell me “MOM!, okay we get it. Let us do it”. I had fun and wanted to make one too.
It is recommended for ages 8 – 98, but Alyssa who is 5, had a BLAST as well. Her older sister (Hayli) showed her how to do it and she was off creating her own pot. She couldn’t wait to make me a pot to put pretty flowers in. The smile on my girl’s faces were priceless. I was glad they didn’t have a big mess for me to pick up when they were done.
