For those of you who have never heard of One eskimO, OOOHHHHH you should.
I received the opportunity from One2One Network to go to a
One eskimo Concert at the Anthology in San Diego, Ca. After listening to their current hit song “Kandi“(one of those songs you put on repeat and never get tired of listening to it), I was hooked and couldn’t wait to go to the concert. I instantly called my friend Sara and asked her if she wanted to go with me.
One eskimO
“One EskimO is a four piece indie rock group from London, England and frontman Kristian Leontiou describes its sound as “magical, ambient, filmic, acoustic, beautiful and meaningful.” Leontiou was a popular UK solo artist in 2004, but broke away from the pop scene in order to “write about how I felt about life, love, losses and failures, highs and lows, even heartbreaks. But also about how amazing human life is and how mind-blowing our very existence is.”We arrived at the Anthology July 1 and were impressed with the our seating arrangement, the opening band Alpha REV was fabulous, we enjoyed how classy the Anthology venue was, and the performance of One eskimO couldn’t have been more amazing.
One eskimO’s music is different than any music I have heard. I love the unique sound of their instruments when combine with their voices, produce mesmerizing music.
It is hard not to like the rhythm of music and voice of Kristian Leontiou and want to hear more.
I noticed I wasn’t the only one who thought One eskimO‘s music makes you want to move. I looked around and saw everyone moving with the beat of the music and singing along.
I do love their song Kandi, but I have to admit all of their music is amazing and equally as magical. What could top off the perfect conert experience?
Jamie Sefton (bass/horns), Adam Falkner (drums), Kristian Leontiou (lead singer),
Peter Rinaldi (guitar).
Meeting the band after the show!!
I met the band after the show thanks to the extremely wonderful tour manager Daniel Zimman.
This is such a great band. All the members are completely down to friendly, very sweet, very passionate about their music, grateful for their fans, have beautiful accents, and enjoy what they do.
I was so impressed with the whole experience. It was way better than I had anticipated.
I look forward to the next time One eskimO visits the San Diego area.
My only regret? I left the show forgetting to purchase a CD.
