Beautiful Ballerina Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated my little princess’s 5th birthday. Her birthday is actually this Thursday, but we had her lil’ ballerina party on Saturday the 12th at a dance studio. This party was one of the easiest, low stress, and most enjoyable parties we have thrown for her. All I had to do is bring my kids, food, cake, candles, and pay the bill.

I felt so relaxed as we arrived to the party, but it wouldn’t be right unless I forgot to bring something (as usual).  I realized I forgot to bring my cake stand. I wanted to make sure that her ballerina slipper cake was out of the way and on display.  I went to all the trouble to clean and layout our cake stand on the counter so I wouldn’t forget it. I was just glad that if I were to forget anything I would rather it be the cake stand rather than the cake.

The dance studio did so many fun dance activities, played games, did silly songs, and most of all made my lil’ princess feel like a queen for that hour and a half. The smile on her face that day will stay with me forever. It makes me sad that she is growing up so fast. I have no idea where time has gone.

This Thursday is Alyssa’s actual birthday and will be the day she graduates from preschool. I will need a lot of tissue that’s for sure. My baby girl is turning 5 and getting ready for kinder. Yaya (Alyssa) wants me to make her a teddy bear cake for her big day. I’ll have to not forget my cake stand this time.
